Welding electrodes HS-Fe1

EN 14700: E Z Fe1
Terms of use
  • it is recommended to hold the electrode close to a right angle;
  • perform surfacing with a short arc and the lowest possible current to prevent mixing with the base metal;
  • to achieve maximum wear resistance when working with low-carbon steels, it is necessary to apply at least 2 layers.
Special properties
  • high productivity and stable spray-metal transfer;
  • reduced critical current which allows working in field conditions without deterioration of process stability;
  • deposited metal can be processed by cutting without tempering, provided it cools in air or in a basalt blanket;
  • mechanical processing of tempered deposited metal - milling, drilling, turning (without restrictions);
  • improved cold cracks resistance due to the high homogeneity of the deposited metal;
  • possibility of reducing the calculated preheating temperature by 30...40%.
HS-Fe1 electrodes are designed for the deposition of strengthening layers that work in metal-to-metal abrasion environment in combination with heavy impact load conditions. Electrodes are used for surfacing of railway elements and parts, couplings, axles, shafts, etc. Electrodes provide highly productive welding process with with improved technological properties.
